New NICE guidelines back Eastern Cheshire antibiotic stewardship efforts

Patients with viral conditions such as colds, coughs and sore throats are being urged to be ‘self-care aware’ rather than visit their GP following new national guidance.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published draft guidelines on September 8 in an attempt to change people’s behavior and reduce antibiotic resistance.

The vast majority of us now accept that quitting smoking is good for our physical health. However, fewer people are aware that stopping smoking is hugely beneficial for our mental health too.
